Northern Prince LNG is a Canadian Federally incorporated Company created to advance a mid-scale LNG export facility which will deliver competitively priced, consistent volumes, of liquified natural gas from Canada to destinations in Asia. Displacing coal and diesel in those markets supports global efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Here in British Columbia our facility will have ultra-low carbon emissions as a key element of the Northern Prince project. Our facility will be hydro-electrically powered and we will utilize renewable grid power throughout the facility allowing numerous carbon reduction touchpoints. Our goal is to be amongst the lowest carbon intensity facilities in the world. In addition, our cooler ambient temperatures reduce power consumption 1.7% for each one degree Celsius lower.

 

British Columbia has abundant natural gas, over 2,900 trillion cubic feet, and a world leading regulatory framework providing unmatched levels of environmental stewardship. This gas has limited access to market and struggles to find commercially attractive terms. Our topography makes coastal delivery complex and historical LNG proposals have found the landscape challenging. Our founders have decades of international energy experience and a proven track record of navigating the Canadian geographical, political and regulatory processes. Our team has been built to support a fast-moving project that builds on existing infrastructure to reduce both costs and timelines delivering our clean burning natural gas to where it is needed quickly.

 

Northern Prince has been shaped around current gas and LNG market drivers. The project reflects decades of work that confirms both the technical and economic strengths of the concept. Northern Prince is now ready to enter the next stage and advance the project.

Northern Prince LNG Inc. has received its interim LNG Export Permit from the Canada Energy Regulator (“CER”).

 

The Company anticipates moving to a longer term permit as it advances through the overall regulatory process.
